Dr. Caroliina Ying, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist

TX
English, Mandarin
Chinese
Want to communicate more assertively? Set healthier boundaries? Process re-triggered trauma that you thought was in the past? Adjust better to big life transitions? Incorporate faith & spirituality in our work? As a psychologist, I am passionate about helping adults 18+ understand themselves at a deeper level, identify what’s holding them back, and then take practical steps towards change. As someone who has relocated many times in my life and as a child of immigrant parents, I’ve been personally shaped by multicultural influences and value understanding how different aspects of culture also shape you.
You’ll find that therapy with me is a collaborative process where you are an active participant in gaining insight about yourself, deciding your goals, and moving towards positive change. I bring a warm, empowering, and validating approach, and I also ask intentional questions and share insights of my own. I can provide services in both English and Mandarin.
I believe that by changing the way you think, you can change the way you behave and feel. At the same time, it’s important to pay attention to our emotions and what they are trying to tell us so we can meet our emotional needs. I also believe therapy can be a space that helps you recognize & modify patterns of relating with others that have kept you stuck.
If you’d like to connect, please email me directly (dr.ying@insightinpractice.com). Please share your name, number, what you’re seeking, and how you heard about me.
